Newgrounds may be a platform that supports a variety of content creators, but not all creators feel they can keep up with Newgrounds for so long. Personally I don't think Newgrounds is the perfect site for content variety availability, but it has my upmost respect for trying to support and reach out to its users (unlike a certain popular platform that doesn't listen). Seeing the comments section on how most people are saying their farewells to you and wishing you for the best gives out the reason on why I sometimes respect the Newgrounds community. It's in no way toxic-free, but seeing this many users who support your decision just helps grow my respect towards the Newgrounds community.
I've recently followed you a few months ago, and I remember you posting about receiving the "King of the Portal" award from the Newgrounds staff. I can't help but think this was when the pressure starts to feed in the stress that you could have been having this month. since you announced this in your news feed and the response. Not to mention you also referenced the amount of submissions (movies & games) you managed to worked on and posted on Newgrounds within the month, which they got either Daily Featured, Frontpaged, or both. I feel that made the increase of the stress and pressure take you over and develop a possible "burn-out" for programming. I think you may have pushed yourself too much on all the programs you worked so much and finally drained out all motivation or passion you have left for programming, not even one drop was left for you.
For me, I've been busy with another college semester online, not to mention having to learn computer programming myself to support my future financially. I really want to draw ideas that keep lingering around in my mind, but everyday I make terrible time management decisions and in the end I can either loiter around the web or play video games during the weekends. It doesn't help that my ideas starts to take over my daydreaming, and has hinder my everyday life, I can't even think or focus for ten minutes without my ideas crossing within my brain. Hopefully once I managed to pass this semester and finish up learning computer programming, I can finally take the time to work on my drawing skills both traditionally and digitally and maybe, someday, get these ideas out of my brain and into a paper (or screen).
Sorry for making this long descriptive comment. I can't do anything for you now that you've had the time to make your decision. The only thing I can say is I understand and respect your decision, and wish you good health. In the end we can acknowledge that Newgrounds may have everything by everyone, but sometimes everything from Newgrounds is just not for everyone.
